    [Q]: 為何碩士及博士不分開寫
    [A]: 實在不好分,且易誤導人,我碩士花了二年,這與一般人在國外 讀碩士的時間來比,算是長了.而博士讀的時間比碩士短, 但我不希望一些後學(不是指比我差的,而是指比我晚讀書的)只看到 我讀博士的部分,郤忘了我碩士所花的苦功夫.

    [Q]: 怎麼又有一個學位?
    [A]: 這個學位說起來也是一個機緣所促成,我博士畢業那年就想回國教書, 本以為可以回台了,結果後來投票沒過,回不來,只好在美國工作一年, 工作單位是Illinois State Water Survey,是研究單位,不太忙, 就與老闆商 量去修了一個學位,花得時間也不長,不過那是我拿到博士以後了,功力當然不一 樣了,不要只看我花在拿學位的時間,我之前已花了很多時間. 因為回不來,才又拿到此學位,有時失與得,完全是一種因緣,不要太 在意,失去了一些東西,有時反而得到更多.

    [Q]:何謂科系委員會
    [A]:成大那時的學生組織頗奇怪,各學院有一至二位學聯會主席(忘了名稱) 再由這些主席(共五位)組成學聯會,而科系委員會是所有系學會總幹事組成, 再由其中選出一位主席. (有傳言是因之前全校只有一個學生會主席權力太大, 才產生這樣的組織架構,互相制衡).
